Traditionally spinal fusions use a metal hardware construct, consisting of Screws and Rods, to achieve spinal fusion.
With Invisifuse technology, no metal screws or rods are used in the minimally-invasive procedure; which uses small, non-metal PEEK micro-implants to create the same stability as traditional implants, at a fraction of the size.
ADVANTAGES OF
INVISIFUSE TECHNOLOGY
Invisifuse technology was developed to eliminate the use of permanent metal implants in the body, which are commonly left in place following spinal fusion surgery. Invisifuse uses minimally-invasive techniques, which allow your body to heal without the use of permanent foreign metal implants in the spine.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you have been told you may need back surgery, you may be a qualified candidate for the Invisifuse procedure. Below are frequently asked questions we’ve received from patients prior to their procedure.
A trained physician’s office staff will contact you to ask some basic questions to determine if you could be a potential candidate. They may also ask you questions to see if you have explored conservative care treatments previously. If they feel you might be a candidate, or would need further evaluation, they will then schedule you for an appointment (in-office or telemedicine).
Invisifuse implant technology employs a PolyEtherEtherKetone (PEEK) Implant, along with advanced surgical techniques.
Commercial insurance and Medicare typically cover back surgeries including the implants used. Regardless, office staff will always run a prior authorization, to let patient know, prior to the performance of any surgical procedures.
Surgery for back procedures vary, but most Invisifuse patients leave the same or following day, and are capable of physical therapy and walking within 3-5 days.
Most procedures take between 1-3 hours, which can provide cost savings due to shorter procedure times
Depending on the diagnosis by the Physician, a patient may need more or less in terms of medical intervention. For example, some patients may need to explore more conservative options such as physical therapy, or pain management, before exploring surgical intervention.
Other patients sometimes have very severe problems that would require greater surgical intervention.
We’ve hand-selected world-renowned surgeons throughout Texas, as well as 16 states around the country. More doctors are being added to as Invisifuse providers, as they receive the appropriate training to do so. Contact us to see if there’s an available surgeon near your region.
Invisifuse technology is a new minimally-invasive procedure that many surgeons may not have yet considered, or be aware of as an alternative to traditional spinal surgery.
Having a second opinion from a board certified Surgeon is always wise for a patient to consider, and one of our trained surgeons would be happy to give you that second opinion as well as see if you are a candidate for the Invisifuse procedure.
